Horizon Tree Company is a locally owned and family-operated business built on hard work, honesty, and a commitment to doing the job right. Founded in 2020 as a small husband-and-wife operation by Brent and Aimee, the company began as a sole proprietorship focused on providing reliable, professional tree care to homeowners in the local community. What started as a small, family-run operation has grown into a trusted tree care company serving commercial and residential customers throughout Simcoe County, Muskoka, and the Parry Sound–Nipissing District.

Through a strong focus on quality workmanship, professionalism, and customer service, Horizon Tree Company has steadily expanded while maintaining the same values it was built on from the beginning. In 2025, the company expanded its team to better serve the growing demand for professional tree services, adding additional field crew members and office staff to support daily operations and customer communication.

That same year, Horizon Tree Company welcomed Jordan Moorhouse to the team as Operations Manager. Jordan brings over a decade of hands-on industry experience and plays a key role in directing field operations, leading crews, and helping maintain the high standards Horizon is known for. As the company continues to grow, Jordan is preparing to join the business in ownership in early 2027, reflecting his leadership, dedication, and long-term commitment to the company’s future.

What a fantastic experience. The first day the crew showed up, they walked the property with us, marked some trees we were concerned about and provided a quote. We scheduled an appointment for the work. They showed up first thing on the day. We had them clean gutters as well as take down several trees. They did such a great job. They were courteous, cautious, and very professional. It was really interesting to watch how accurately they could drop trees. The one tree was 55' and it landed exactly where they planned. What was spectacular was the clean-up. We couldn't tell they had been there. All the tree waste was gone. And as you know, cleaning gutters creates a mess, and all of that was cleaned up as well. Excellent! We will keep using Horizon.

I used Horizon Tree Company owned and operated by Brent Maw on two occasions. November 2022 to fell a tree that was encroaching on our Utility Shed. The second occasion was August 2023 to take down a tree in our front yard. The work was done professionally and watching him on both occasions it was very obvious that this man knows his business. Cleanup after both jobs was done and complete. Brent is both professional and courteous. I have no tree issues on my property at the moment but I would not hesitate to contract him again in the future. I would recommend him 100% to anyone needing his Services. Although Brent lives in North Bay and does service Simcoe County (We live in Orillia), based on the recommendation I received, I did not hesitate to go out of our area, considering I could have used someone closer. As mentioned before, his work is second to none and I highly recommend him!
